K well Im Dan! 19.m New to this tribe. I havent been on for like a while. Ive been busy taking care of my aunt and drawing out blueprints for a project Im doing.
Ok, so what ideas should we post?
Um... well how does everyone feel for the gay marriage ban amendment? Pro or Anti? I feel that we should stop looking at it as a gay agenda and start looking at it as more of equal human rights.... well im gonna go, byeness

Tue, March 30, 2004 - 6:04 AMwhy not just do away with marriage as a legal insitution period? make it ia civil license thing like a driver's license and then those who want to have a religious blessing can go to their religious place of choice and get the union blessed. this, by the way, is the way it was up through the middle ages. -

Tue, March 30, 2004 - 7:21 AMIn many states gay marriage and long term heterosexual (but unmarried) relationships are not recognized. So, 'domestic partners' (gay or not) do not receive the typical corporate benefits that a spouse receives.
One of the goals (there are others) of the activists in this field is to have corporations and governments recognize these relationships to secure the benefits of health care, retirement, etc.
